Focused on A Clear Purpose
Every one of us on the Diversity in Aquatics team has been profoundly influenced by our experiences in the aquatic community that we can scarcely imagine our lives without this skill and this community.
There is so much history, empowerment, and excellence in this community that needs to be shared and grown. We are educators, athletes, researchers, coaches, students, and lovers of aquatics driven by our love and respect of water and the life-saving skill of swimming.
Our planet is mostly water, our bodies are mostly water, and all people unequivocally must know how to be one with it.
We hope you join us in our quest to see that all members of society are educated about water safety and engaged in healthy aquatic activities.
To increase the knowledge and awareness of water safety and drowning prevention, and aquatic physical activities in historically underrepresented communities and vulnerable populations.
To provide educational programming and collaborative relationships in traditionally underrepresented communities in order to equip historically underrepresented communities and vulnerable populations with the skills needed to be safe and participate in aquatic physical activities and environments.
To increase sustainability in water safety and drowning prevention efforts and involvement in a variety of aquatic physical activities in historically underrepresented communities and vulnerable populations.
